Quick and easy

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Have spent some time with some of Grand children this week and they are so noisy I have a headache when I leave but I love then dearly and feel blessed to have so many.  Hope you all had a great half term week.

Today it's a quick and easy card as nearly forgot my cousins birthday so had to whip one up quickly and this is what I came up with, did some scoring on this card which is something I don't do very often but felt it gave the card a bit more character,  and there 's only one thing that isn't in the  new catalogue (very good for me).

I'm doing a bit more now but still have a way to go before I catch up with my posts.  I'm doing some things with the new goodies and can't wait to show you all.

The materials used are:

Inks: Memento tuxedo black
Card stock: Whisper white
Card base: Note card
Stamps: Guy greetings
Punches: Decorative label
Framelits: Deco labels
DSP: Modern medley (retired)
Accessories: Candy dots, Scoreboard

Will be back again soon with more cards

Very old with fairly New

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Today I've been looking at what's no longer in season and find I have too much of it so decided to try and use some of it up.  Watched a great video on Elizabeth's craft room blog so will be making my grand children some little scrap books soon, will let you see them once there done. As for today's card it's for a friend of ours and I used some very old DSP along with an up to date embossing folder. Lots of different blue's but I think they went well together.

The materials used are:

Card stock: Not quite navy (retired), Sahara sand
DSP: Blueberry crisp (retired)

Embossing folder: Tiny triangles
Framelits: Banners
Ribbon: Stitched satin Midnight muse (retired)

Alternative colour for this cards would be Pacific point.

Will be back again soon with more cards

Gorgeous grunge meets Flower shop

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Today's card was one I made for my Granddaughter, she's the eldest of my grandchildren and growing up too fast. Her favourite colours are purple and yellow or they were last year, so hopefully they are again this year.

Still under the weather, went to the dentist two weeks ago and now have a throat infection and feel I need to go back to the dentist as my teeth still hurt.

Slowly catching up with my bloggy as I'm now only about a month behind

Gorgeous grunge for a Gorgeous Son

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Well I"m now officially OLD, my eldest has just turned 40 so he's now middle aged which makes me old. He's taken up cycling in a big way and now bikes all the time so looks quite fit, by 40 I was over the hill. On his birthday he biked 40 miles to celebrate and that isn't really a long ride for him to do, I wouldn't be able to do 40 metres.  But using my treadmill I walk about 3 miles most days.
I thought I'd use up some of my old stash with this card as there are up to date alternatives so hope you like it!!

The materials used are:

Inks: Midnight muse (retired), Summer starfruit (retired)
Card stock: Glimmer paper silver,Midnight muse (retired), Summer starfruit (retired), Whisper white
Card base: None SU
Stamps: Big day (retired), Gorgeous grunge
Embossing folder: Decorative dots
Framelits: Starburst
Thinlits: Hello you, Numbers (NSU)

Alternative colours for this card would be Crushed curry and Night of navy.

butterflies meets decorative dots

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Not feeling too well today as had a root filling in one of my back teeth yesterday and now in more pain than I had before, but hopefully will feel better once the pain has gone (thank God for Ibuprofen).

This is a birthday card I did for my upline Peg, I got the idea from the Internet but not sure where, so if it's one of yours please let me know so I can give you the credit.  I have since seen a great video on giving the butterfly a marble effect and I will let you who's blog that's on when I create a card using the technique. Still behind and still busy but keep crafting when I can.

It was sad to see the blendabilities go but I kept mine as l like using them (used on the pearls).

Happy crafting

Guy greetings

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

I did this for my Uncle as a Ha Ha! card, he's a bit younger than me and doesn't like me calling him uncle but there you go. I like to tease him sometimes.  I'm still more than a month behind in my blogging and it'll be some time before I catch up as there's still a lot going on at the moment which is taking up loads of my time.

The new catalogue is out soon and I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new goodies.  Will miss a lot that's now leaving us but you can't have everything can you.

By the way my Uncle looks nothing like the card, he's still good looking for his age.

The materials used are:

Ink: Crumb cake, Soft suede
Card stock: Soft suede, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Guy greetings
Punches: 1/2  Circle
Ribbon: Natural chevron
Accessories: Gems (NSU)

Ninja Turtles

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Today I'm showing you my version of a Teenage Ninja Turtles card I sent to my nephew for his birthday this year and then remembered he was now 11 and felt it was a little young for him now, but I hope he liked it. We don't see them very often in fact only once a year when they're at my sisters house when we visit for the festive season. The sentiment is computer generated and there is no stamping.

The materials used are:

Card Stock; Basic black, Real red, Tangerine tango, Pacific point, Rich razzleberry, Garden green, Whisper white
Markers: Basic black
Framelits: Circles collection, Word bubbles
Punches: Large oval
Embossing folders: Honeycomb, Square lattice (retired)
Sentiment: Computer generated
Accessories: Goggle eyes (NSU)
