Butterflies Galore

Growing Up

It's sometimes hard when people request certain themes for their cards, but not so when it's butterflies. My Granddaughter wanted butterflies and lots of them so I came up with the idea of a pop up box with yes you guessed it 13 butterflies. She counted them and complained there were only 12 but one was hidden on the back panel so she was much happier.  She had a perfect day and our card took pride of place on the mantle piece.

Lazy Days

Relaxing Times

This is a blast from the past, as I'm not very good with male cards I find it hard to come up with ideas.  My friend is a keen fisherman and I always do him cards that are fishy but this time I thought I'd go slightly away from the fish theme but still incorporate water.  He's retired and has been for some time so thought he might like a laid back relaxing theme. Hope he likes it.

The materials used are:
Ink: Early Expresso, Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Wild Wasabi
Stamps: Moon Lake (retired), Remembering Your Birthday, Up Up and Away (retired)
DSP: Adventure Bound (retired)

Butterflies birthday

So glad you dropped by

Been busy the last couple of days, Hubby has the man flu and needs looking after.  He looked after me very well when I broke my wrists last year so I felt I need to return the favour but I don't have a very good bedside manner so I leave him in bed for as long as possible.  They say sleep is the best thing when you're ill don't they?

On to today's card it's a very simple one as I needed to get 2 cards done for the same day.  One female and one male, not so good at male ones, find it hard to come up with ideas but I keep trying. Will show you that one in a couple of days. Hope my cousin liked this one.

The materials used are:
Ink: Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon
Card stock: Shimmery White, Soft Sky
Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Hardwood
Thinlits: Butterflies
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones

Will be back again soon with more cards

Happy 18th

Thanks for dropping by

Today I'm showing the card I made for our Grandson, can't believe we now have an 18 year old in the family but there you go, time flies when you're not looking.

I enjoyed doing this one, and although you can't see it I've done lots of 18's all over the Pumpkin Pie in Illuminate but it doesn't show up very well on the photo, I should've used Pumpkin Pie and the stamped off method, will know next time. I also used one of the Sale-A-Bration stamps you can get free at the moment with every £45 you spend and they are all worth having this year. Have a look through the catalogues on the right and if you want to place an order contact me and I'll be happy to help you.

The materials used are:
Ink: Illuminate (retired), Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie
Markers: Basic Black
Card stock: Black Glimmer, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White,
Card base: NSU
Stamps: Need For Speed (retired), Number Of Years, Sky Is The Limit (sab)
Embossing folders: Cloudy Day (retired)
Framelits: Large Numbers

Punches: 1/2 Corner NSU

Looks like I'm getting back on track now and will be able to post more often as all the physio etc is over and my wrists are as good as there ever going to get.

Will be back again soon with more cards

Age Awareness meets Flowering Flourishes

Big changes from the 5th January, seasonal catalogue changes and Sale-A-Bration starts

It's all change now for the seasonal catalogues, we lose the Autumn Winter catalogue and go to the Spring Summer catalogue along with the Annual catalogue, so there is ample chances for you to earn Sale-A-Bration goodies during the next couple of months.

But watch out some of them are limited edition and only last for 6 weeks of the Sale-A-Bration promotion. So check out the catalogues on the right and email me if you want to place and order.

I love the Age Awareness stamp set and just had to have it, put it on my shelf and there it sat for quite sometime. Then it jumped out at me again and this is what I came up with.

The materials used are:
Ink: Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder
Card base: NSU
Stamps: Age Awareness, Flowering Flourishes, Petite Petals
Embossing Folders: Decorative Dots
Punches: Petite Petals
